The Pive circulates at the No Logo Festival !

Publish 28 April 2020

Since 2017, the festival and the Franc-Comtoise association “La Pive” have united to allow the use of the local currency Franc Comtoise in the festival.

WHAT IS A LOCAL CURRENCY ?
The Pive is a local currency implemented by the association of the same name and is in circulation since May 2017.
It allows each of his users in the whole Franche-Comté region, through a network of professional members, to feed his daily life by being encouraged to consume locally.

After joining the association, you have to go to an exchange counter (1 Pive = 1€) to take full advantage of this new currency. Providers that accept Pives are listed in an online directory so that users can easily identify them. Anyone can use the Pive with the assurance that their purchases are beneficial to the local economy without having to go and pay a large multinational company abroad.

THE PIVE AT THE NO LOGO FESTIVAL
The No Logo has decided to support the initiative of developing local currencies by accepting the use of the Pive during the festival, in addition to the Euros.
With the Pives, festival-goers can buy tokens for bars, buy souvenirs at the festival shop, or eat at the festival’s restaurants indicating that they accept the Pive.

In this way, users consolidate a solidarity network of local shops and encourage an ethical economy. You are not a regular visitor to the Pives? No problem!
A currency exchange stand will be made available to all festival-goers, allowing them to meet the association, which will explain this beautiful project in more detail and answer any questions they may have.
