Heavyweight (formerly Dub Meeting Osaka) is a trio consisting of Dub Kazman, Sak Dub I, and Element, who have been promoting sound system culture in Japan for seven years. With guests such as O.B.F., Alpha Steppa, Mala, Sr. Wilson, MacGyver of Stand High Patrol, Mad Professor, Chazbo, and Babe Roots, the party has become a pillar of Osaka’s dub scene, deeply rooted in music dating back to the ’90s. Their sound remains true to percussive steppers and deep dub, while also absorbing outside influences to evolve and enrich the style.
